Scheduling FAQS

01

When you reserve an appointment time, that time is reserved exclusively for you and will not be “double-booked” with any other patient. We do consider all reserved appointments CONFIRMED at the time that the appointment is made.

As a courtesy to you, our office will email, text, or call you to remind you of your confirmed appointment that you scheduled with us. Please understand that this is only a courtesy and we sometimes will not be able to reach you. It is ultimately your responsibility to remember to come to your reserved appointment on time.

We understand that occasionally things do come up and we ask that if you need to reschedule a reserved appointment for any reason that you give us at least two business days notice so that we can accommodate another patient in that time slot.

Also, the sooner you call us with a change in your schedule the sooner we’ll be able to find an appointment time that works for you.

02

At State Street Smiles, we pride ourselves on running our schedule on time. We know how annoying waiting can be and we will do everything possible to minimize your wait times.

In order to help us keep our schedule on time, we ask our patients to partner with us. We ask you to come a few minutes early to your appointments so that we can see you when your appointment time starts. We rely on all of our patients to arrive promptly so that our schedule does not run behind.

With this in mind, if you arrive very late for your appointment, you may find that you need to reschedule so that we have enough time to complete your treatment properly. If there are unforeseen circumstances causing you to be late, we ask that you call our office and let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you and your new arrival time.

From our part, we ask that you understand that there are times that a particular patient’s needs are more involved than we anticipated. If this is the case, we may run into your appointment time.

Rest assured, that if you’ve arrived on time for your appointment and require extra attention, we will give you the same courtesy and complete your treatment.

03

Every procedure and every person is unique and the amount of time that is required will vary from one appointment to the next. If you have any particular time constraints, please let our scheduling coordinators know and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

We will always be happy to share with you how much time we’re scheduling for your appointment. You can plan to spend around 10 minutes after your treatment is complete to review your next appointment with the scheduling and financial coordinators.

04

We understand that emergencies do come up after hours and sometimes you will need to speak with a doctor and it cannot wait until morning. All you need to do is call our regular number 201-487-7030 and follow the prompts to get in touch with your doctor.

Our phone system will connect you directly with the Dr.’s cell phone so that you can speak with him or her. If they do not answer the phone, please leave a message and the doctor will call you back as soon as that message is received!
